Sarah Randall – 1855-1899
Henry Addis – 1864-1928

Birth

Sarah Randall was the daughter of William Randall and Sarah Gooding. She was born in about 1855 in Hamilton before the family moved to Elmira. The date comes from the 1861 census when Sarah is listed as 7 years of age, one year younger than her older brother Charles.

Henry Addis was born in Carrick Township, Bruce County on April 5, 1864, a son of Francis Addis and his wife Lena Brenner who were born in Germany. They had a large family and lived in Greenock, Bruce South in 1881.

Marriage

Sarah was living at the home of her younger sister, George and Caroline Cathrae, when the 1881 census was taken. A child David who was born the previous August is listed below Sarah's name. The Cathrae's are Presbyterian and Sarah and the boy are Methodist so the child was Sarah's son. [1881 Census]

Sarah was married to Henry Addis in Elmira on September 20, 1884. The information comes from the Ontario Archive for 1884, reference #011882.
